One Day in June

#1,091: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! Fans of ELO and The Beatles should definitely consider marking Friday 10th June firmly in their diaries as a trio of collections and compilations are now scheduled for release on that date. Regular visitors to ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) will know that ELO's triple platinum greatest hits best seller "All Over The World" will finally see a 2LP vinyl release on that date alongside Paul McCartney's recently announced "Pure McCartney", which will include up to six tracks from Macca's 1997 LP "Flaming Pie", co-produced, of course, by Jeff Lynne thus:

But now, in addition to those two, have now listed a 'new' 5CD boxed set entitled: "The Studio Albums 1973-1977" which will include "On The Third Day", "Eldorado", "Face The Music", "A New World Record" and "Out Of The Blue" just in time for that much anticipated Glastonbury appearance by Jeff Lynne's ELO. Interestingly. no bonus trax are listed and the package does not include "ELO II". You can pre-order this release from via this link thus:

ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) recommends all three releases to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO/Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, The Move'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.

Until next "Time" in the ELO (and related) Universe ... KJS ... 07-Apr-2016

  1. Any idea when the 2 Move cds will be coming from Spin cds, Keith?

    1. John ... "Looking On" [the first LP from The Move to feature Jeff Lynne following his departure from The Idle Race] and the "Something Else from The Move" EP are out on Friday 27th May 2016 ... KJS@ELOBF

    2. John ... "Move" [1CD/3CD Deluxe editions] and "Shazam" [1CD/2CD Deluxe editions] will be released on Friday 29th April 2016 ... KJS@ELOBF

    3. Cheers, Keith, must get those too, perhaps you could do a post on the Looking On bonus tracks?

    4. John ... Click on this link and hopefully this will be what you are looking for? ... KJS@ELOBF

    5. Cheers Keith, it is indeed what I was looking for! :-)

    6. I can't wait to get all four of these! I missed out on the Salvo remasters, meaning to get them at a later date, but Salvo weren't long in deleting them and the prices you have to pay for them on Amazon marketplace or EBay are scandalous, compared to the Slade Salvo remasters, many of which are still being pressed now!
I felt a bit let down by Salvo, after all the money I have previously put into their bank account!
Still, these new releases far surpass the Salvo releases, so I shan't make the same mistake twice!! :-)
