Roy Wood Pencilled in for J4T21 Charity Album

Sleeve for limited edition "21 Today" CD single sold at the J4T21 memorial concert last year
#969: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! Roy Wood, Jasper Carrott and a host of Birmingham rock royalty are set to contribute to a new CD being released to mark the 41st anniversary of the Birmingham pub bombings in November. "21 Today" will feature tracks donated from Midlands music legends with The Move, ELO and Wizzard founder Roy Wood designing the sleeve artwork and legendary Brum comedian Jasper Carrott contributing the foreward. Details of the contributing artistes and their songs will be confirmed in the near future.
Julie Hambleton, who lost her sister Maxine in the tragedy, is the driving force behind Justice 4 The 21, the campaign to uncover the truth and the culprits behind the 1974 outrage, added:

"All those working on the project are giving their time and talents for free, but production costs can mount up. So we are looking for 21 Birmingham firms to donate £100 each to help meet those costs. Proceeds from the sales of 21 Today will go to the Acorns Hospice, a really worthwhile cause."
