Recommended: Veronica (David Myhr)

#903: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! Yours Truly KJS has always been pleased to feature Swedish Power Pop icon David Myhr from time to time here at ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF). And David's excellent new download single is once again worthy of a mention. "Veronica" is a song co-written by Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney and released as a single, reaching #31 in the UK Top 40 Singles chart and #19 in the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart stateside circa March 1989. Elvis Costello is another of my fave artistes - who has also collaborated with the late, great Roy Orbison -  so  this fantastic new cover by David Myhr (a huge Beatles and ELO fan!) ticks all the boxes for me.
"Veronica" is backed by a nice cover of the 1979 Secret Service single "Oh Susie" making it a real bargain! "Veronica" b/w "Oh Susie" (#LJX094D) is released by LoJinx Records and can be purchased via this link thus:

ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) recommends "Veronica" by David Myhr to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO/Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, The Move, 'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.

Until next "Time" in the ELO (and related) Universe ... KJS ... 06-May-2015

  1. Fantastic: I really enjoyed this. I always think (controversially maybe) that McCartney is at his best collaborating with others and I loved his material with Elvis Costello - they are very different people which makes the results truly magnetic. David Myhr I havent come across before but this video is great and so is the record. Thanks for sharing.
