#805: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! After over forty dates, Stand Up & Rock! is nearing the end of its sell-out 2014 UK tour. It was great to hear songs by ELO, The Beatles and The Move performed amongst many classics by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Roy Orbison, The Moody Blues and The Who. My reviews of the show at Wolverhampton and Dudley in September and October respectively did not include the set list. Here's the songs featured in what was and continues to be a truly excellent production for your info thus:
"Pinball Wizard" ~ "I Can Hear The Grass Grow" ~ "It's All Over Now" ~ "Hard Days Night" ~ "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" ~ "You've Got Your Troubles" ~ "River Deep Mountain High" ~ "The Chain" ~ "Wild Thing" ~ "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" ~ "It Takes Two" ~ "Dancing In The Street" ~ "Gimme Some Lovin'" ~ "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" ~ "Running Scared" ~ "All Around My Hat" ~ "Rockin' All Over The World" ~ "Nights In White Satin" ~ "I've Got The Music In Me" ~ "Pump It Up" ~ "Hey Joe" ~ "Mr. Blue Sky" ~ "Don't Bring Me Down" ~ "Blackberry Way"
Stand Up & Rock features Jasper Carrott, The Bev Bevan Band (Bev, Phil Tree, Tony Kelsey and Abby Brant), Trevor Burton, Geoff Turton and Joy Strachan-Brain
ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) recommends Stand Up & Rock to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO/Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, The Move, The Idle Race, 'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.
Until next "Time" in the ELO (and related) Universe ... KJS ... 27-Nov-2014
