Recommended: On Christmas Day (Magnum)

#770: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! Legendary Midlands rockers Magnum have a substantial back catalogue and have shared both labels (Jet Records between 1978-1983) and the odd member (Dave Scott-Morgan) down the years with ELO. Indeed, their current label SPV also released ELO Part II's 2CD album "One Night - Live In Australia" back in 1995!

The band have just announced the release of a new single entitled "On Christmas Day" in digital and vinyl formats only. "On Christmas Day" was originally included their release "Rock Art" (1994) and has been re-recorded at the suggestion of SPV boss Olly Hahn. This superb composition is about the temporary peace that took place at Christmas between the trenches during the First World War. Also to be found on the single is "Born To Be King" - a track from Magnum's LP "Goodnight L.A." (1990).

The single has a release date of Friday 14th November (Germany), Monday 17th November (Europe) or Monday 1st December (UK) will be available as a limited edition 10" vinyl single and/or download with three tracks including a radio edit and a full version of "On Christmas Day".

You can pre-order the download and vinyl edition via with the vinyl issue also available for pre-order from EMP via these links thus:
