#721: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! The Move returned to the Isle of Wight Festival yesterday [Sunday 15th June] after an absence of over four decades, and promptly rolled back the years in what Yours Truly KJS is reliably informed was a storming fifty minute set. Jan Davis - who manages Trevor Burton with husband John over at Erndor50 Promotions - took over 200 photographs at the event and has kindly given her permission for ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] to publish this selection of eighteen [18] pictures for your perusal thus:
The Move were: Bev Bevan [Drums], Trevor Burton [Guitars/vocals], Phil Tree [Bass/vocals] and
Tony Kelsey [Guitars/backing vocals] not forgetting Movettes Abby Brant [Keyboards/backing vocals] and Joy Strachan-Brain [Backing vocals]
ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] recommends The Move ft. Bev Bevan & Trevor Burton to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO, Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, The Idle Race, 'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.
Until next "Time" in the ELO [and related] Universe ... KJS ... 16-June-2014
Too bad I'm stuck in the States... Burton & Bevan are world-class professionals - and gentlemen - and their dedication to celebrating The Move's hits in concert with their fans is a rare treat. You'll never catch either of them re-recording these hits as a solo effort - and then camouflaging it under the band's moniker. They know better than to tamper with their legacy - because realize it's not theirs alone. And for that, they will always have my deepest admiration.
