ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] absolutely loves Thomas Walsh and his Pugwash ensemble! And ELOBF is pleased to inform you that their long sought after 1999 release "Almond Tea as served by Pugwash" is being re-released in 2014 to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary with a limited edition run of just 250 copies.
Pugwash founder/maestro Thomas Walsh said this of the 'new' release: "In September 1999, I rush released my debut album: "Almond Tea as served by Pugwash" to make sure that I released a record in the greatest century there's ever been for pop music. Wonderful reviews all round and end of year poll positions with the likes of U2 and Snow Patrol didn't help the sales of an out of kilter simple pop record struggling to find its dancing feet at the beginning of a new millennium. So it died on its arse. But because people loved the record so much, copies were not flooding the second hand shops of Ireland, so this humblebum of a record [with a sleeve drawn by my artistic schoolmate Kenneth Slevin when he was 15] became a highly sought after 'cult' item. So, 15 years after it pulled its pop pantaloons down and gave the world a quick flash of its art, "Almond Tea as served by Pugwash" has been re-pressed by me. 250 copies if you please. And I've done some badges too for good measure!"
All proceeds will go towards recording the much anticipated new Pugwash album. "Almond Tea as served by Pugwash" is priced at €25.00 [including P+P]. You'll need to hurry as only half of the batch remains at the time of writing! You can purchase the CD [and also receive two rather nice badges] by clicking on 'Buy Now' within the link below thus:
ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] recommends "Almond Tea as served by Pugwash" by Pugwash to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO, Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, The Move, The Idle Race, 'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.
