Caught Live (4): The Abbey Road Experience @ Bridgnorth 15/03/14

#680: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! It was fortunate that Yours Truly KJS travelled the fifteen or so miles to Bridgnorth last night to witness the latest gig by Chris Brighton and his new look Abbey Road Experience as they delivered another entertaining and accurate live rendition of The Beatles iconic "Abbey Road" album to another near full house at The Theatre On The Steps last night (Saturday 15th March) but unfortunate too in that I missed their second set of superb interpretations of those Beatles classics we all know and love due to ill health.

The Abbey Road Experience performed: "Come Together" ~ "Something" ~ "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" ~ "Oh! Darling" ~ "Octopus's Garden" ~ "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" ~ "Here Comes The Sun" ~ "Because" ~ Medley: "You Never Give Me Your Money" ~ "Sun King" ~ "Mean Mr. Mustard" ~ "Polythene Pam" ~ "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" ~ "Golden Slumbers" ~ "Carry That Weight" ~ "The End" ~ "Her Majesty"

What I can report is that every time that get to see this particular Fab Five, the band continue to gel and "Come Together" with the vocal range of Chris Brighton joined by the equally excellent Mike Tinsley with what (for this writer) has to be some of the most expressive guitar work yet that I've had the pleasure of witnessing by Nick Mellor, all aptly and ably mirroring the original output of their Beatles heroes. Add to that the superb percussion and drum work of Darren Ashford as well as the neat, supportive keyboard wizardry of Colin Noon and you have what is fast becoming a 'must see' act in terms of their professionalism and uniqueness in what is a very busy Beatles tribute pool.

There are several Abbey Road Experience gigs to look forward to this year. ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) sincerely hopes that there are more added to their gig roster (below) in the near future:
