Gallery: Mike Burney Benefit Show with Roy Wood

The Roy Wood Rock & Roll Band on stage at The Asylum
#569: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! My good friend Martin Kinch is the ultimate SME (Subject Matter Expert) when it comes to all things Roy Wood - be it The Move, The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), Wizzard and his many other projects. Martin runs the excellent web site Cherry Blossom Clinic and he attended the Mike Burney benefit gig in Birmingham on Tuesday 9th July - headlined, of course, by a now rare live appearance by Dr. Roy Wood and his Rock & Roll Band - whilst Yours Truly KJS was otherwise engaged with The Duckworth Lewis Method in Nottingham on the same night. Martin has very graciously allowed ELOBF to include a few of his photographs and souvenirs from the evening for you to peruse thus:

ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) recommends Cherry Blossom Clinic to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO/Jeff LynneRoy WoodThe Move, 'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.

Until next "Time" in the ELO (and related) Universe ... KJS ... 12-July-2013

  1. I too was here. It was good to see lots of old Brumbeat musicians. Thanks to all especially Mike Burney who took time out to sign my CDs. Of note for ELO fans was that Hugh McDowell was there. I asked how his health was and he said recovery is on going but felling good.

    1. Thank you Colin for your interesting comment. Nice to hear that Hugh is in better health too! ... Keith :-)
