DLM: Maiden Top 30 Album Chart Innings

#564: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! "Sticky Wickets", the second innings offered by The Duckworth Lewis Method, entered the Official UK Midweek Album Chart today at a healthy #24. ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] understands that DLM II was within the iconic Top 20 on pre-order sales alone but was "nudged and nurdled" out by a post Glastonbury festival sales surge. It means that DLM are on course to eclipse the chart high of #40 enjoyed by their eponymously entitled debut album back in 2009. It also appears that "Sticky Wickets" has outperformed the Jeff Lynne part-produced releases of Regina Spektor [#30 in 2009] and Joe Walsh [#53 in 2012], at the time of writing.

Yours Truly KJS is of the opinion that DLM duo Neil Hannon and Thomas Walsh should be cracking open the proverbial champagne on Sunday evening when the full UK album chart is announced, not forgetting that Jeff Lynne's debut solo album "Armchair Theatre" also attained #24 back in 1990! "Sticky Wickets" can be ordered in CD and/or LP formats via these links thus:

Extras: Don't forget that The Duckworth Lewis Method are on tour in the UK between 8th July and 29th September. Details can be found within this ELO Beatles Forever article thus:

ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] recommends "Sticky Wickets" by The Duckworth Lewis Method to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO, Jeff LynneRoy WoodThe MoveThe Idle Race'Brum Beat'The Beatles and related artistes.
