Jeff Lynne's Electric Contribution to Sandy Relief Album

#454: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! Jeff Lynne is joining both Ringo Starr and Joe Walsh in contributing new tracks to a new album being released in aid of the victims of Hurricane Sandy from Red Hook, south Brooklyn entitled "Songs After Sandy: Friends of Red Hook For Sandy Relief - Volume 1" as mentioned in this report thus:

Ringo Starr's live version of "Wings" (as recorded during the latest All Starr Band tour) is one of the song as is Joe Walsh’s new live version of "Rocky Mountain Way" (which also features Ringo on drums). Followers of ELO and Jeff Lynne will be interested to find out that the ELO maestro has contributed a "Brand New Electric Version" of "Save Me Now", originally found on Jeff's 1990 debut solo album "Armchair Theatre". In his official press release, Jeff stated:

"This is a brand new electric version of ‘Save Me Now', a song I wrote 22 years ago about this very subject - global warming and the need to listen and be kind to our planet. I wanted to contribute to 'Songs After Sandy' because I feel terrible about what happened, and my heart goes out to all of the people still stuck in it and trying to work through it."

"Songs After Sandy: Friends of Red Hook For Sandy Relief - Volume 1" will be initially available as a pre-order download via Pledge Music for just $15! You can pledge, investigate the track listing and artist roster as well as the project details via these links thus:
