The familiar Jet Records label which often greeted ELO fans |
The label was distributed by Island, Polydor, United Artists and CBS Records in the period in which we saw multiple Arden managed ELO related and other artistes signed to Jet (sometimes it was jokingly named 'Jeff Records' by insiders!), including Mik Kaminski's Violinski, Phil Bates' Trickster and Wilson Gale amongst many others. I had the idea the other day to create a new Facebook group entitled JET RECORDS to explore the career of this enigmatic ELO dominated label and the artistes it featured.
Quite by accident, Yours Truly KJS has also discovered a most interesting and informative website which lists the most expansive discography of the Jet Records career that I've come across to date. There's even an entry for the aborted second ELO EP (#ELO2) and the May 1978 reissue of the ELO single "Turn To Stone" (#SJET103) - both rarities deserving of more ELO Beatles Forever (ELOBF) investigation in future.

By clicking on the above link, you can check out the decade plus long career of a record label that hosted "the finest rock band in the world" (quoting the words of the late, great Tony Curtis).
