ELO Beatles & Beyond Forever!

#157: Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! It is, of course, a natural extension of ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] to explore the commonalities and similarities between The Beatles and the Electric Light Orchestra [ELO]. One band was the inspiration for the other and the latter's musical heroes were the former. So it was great to briefly touch base yesterday [Sunday 14th November] with Pete Dicks, who presents and produces the widely broadcast and famed long running Beatles radio programme that is: Beatles and Beyond.

Pete may also be involved with a potentially new radio show called Out Of The Blue Radio. If it becomes a reality, it would be an ELO-centered programme, in a similar format to Pete's Beatles and Beyond show. Yours Truly KJS also hopes to meet up with Pete in the not-too-distant-future to put together a short Beatles and ELO special for inclusion in one of his Beatles and Beyond shows. Being as "I Am The Walrus" is thought to be the inspiration for ELO and their last studio album "Zoom" in 2001, featuring two original Beatles in George Harrison and Ringo Starr, there is plenty of material to consider and compile. You can find out more about Beatles and Beyond and where to find it via this link thus:

ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] recommends Beatles and Beyond to those enlightened folks who enjoy the music of ELO, Jeff Lynne, Roy Wood, The Move, The Idle Race, 'Brum Beat', The Beatles and related artistes.

Until next "Time" in the ELO [and related] Universe ... KJS ... 14-Nov-2010
